Just weeks after successfully defending a cop killer, Charles Dewey, one of Baltimore's most famous and infamous attorneys turns up dead in his fashionable Hunt Valley home in Baltimore County. The apparent victim of a sniper. Or was it so apparent?
That same morning, Baltimore City Police discover a body, nothing unusual in one of the crime capitals of the world. The body turns out to be one of Dewey's clients.
Later that day, the judge who granted the cop killer his aquittal is ambushed during his lunchtime walk outside the Prince George's County Courts Building.
Coincidence, or is there a vigilante running rampant around the Baltimore metropolitan area? Maybe a cop out seeking vengence for a slain brother in blue.
The investigators need some technical assistance with this one, and the media is chomping at the bit to reveal a cover-up.
Enter Mick Driscoll, a retired cop turned private eye with the ballistics knowledge and expertise to answer some of the questions. But they might not be the answers the investigators were hoping for.
